The Information We collect

When accessing and using Art Frequency, you provide us with two different types of information: personal identifiable information you choose to disclose and that we collect and Site use information that allows you to interact with the Site and that we collect.

When you register with Art Frequency, you provide certain personally identifiable information such as your full name, your gender, your birthday, your schools attended, your places of work and other personal information that you provide.

Once you visit and login to Art Frequency, we collect your browser type and IP address.  We collect this information from all individuals that visit the Site.  We subsequently store that information from your browser in the form of “cookies”.  Cookies are packets of data that are stored on the user’s computer and is linked to the specific information about that user.  In order to make it easier for you, we store this information including your login so that your username and password automatically appear and so you do not have to re-enter when you visit the Site.  If you prefer, you can disable the option for cookies within your browser to prevent cookies being stored on your computer.

 When you use Art Frequency, you may set up a profile and gallery, buy and sell art, share art, join networks, form relationships, create events, create a blog, submit artwork online, perform searches and queries, participate in the creative community through commenting and rating artworks, and share information through a range of channels.

The Content (as outlined in the Art Frequency Terms of Use) that you post is solely your responsibility and you post at your own risk.  Even though we give you options for different levels of privacy regarding you gallery and photo albums, please understand that the security measures taken are not completely impenetrable.  The actions of other users and visitors visiting the Site who come into contact with your Content are outside of our control.  Please understand that even after removal of your Content, cached and archived pages of the Content may still remain and may be viewable.

Any improper use of the information provide on Art Frequency constitutes a violation of Art Frequency Terms of Service and should be reported to privacy@artfrequency.com.

How We Use that Information: Sharing and Disclosure

Art Frequency does not share, rent, or sell your personal information with third parties including other individuals or other companies.  Art Frequency may release summative information about its users to better direct advertising companies but will not share personally identifiable information with any third party without expressed consent from you.  Examples include directing advertising efforts toward the right audience through the site based on how the Site is used by certain users.  However, Art Frequency will release personally information in order to comply with any legal process such as a court order, search warrant, subpoena, statute, or if Art Frequency believes it is appropriate to release such information to prevent, investigate, or take action against suspected fraud, other illegal activities, any threats to any type of personal physical safety, violations of the Terms of Use, or otherwise by law.

Confidentiality and Security

Art Frequency limits and minimizes access to your personal information to employees who Art Frequency believes need to come into contact with that information in order to fulfill their jobs.
In compliance with federal regulation, Art Frequency has procedural electronic and physical protection in place to protect your personal information.  For example, your Art Frequency Account information is password-protected.  In addition, in the Checkout section of the Site, Art Frequency has established SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.
