Nothing brings me more joy than to create. Born and raised in Colorado, my mission as a visual artist is to evoke thought, connect with individuals, be truthful in expression, spread a message of possibility, call attention to the matters of life, and to break new ground. My dream is to see my art on the walls all over the world. My passion for art intensified as a freshman in high school when I found out about art phenom MC Escher. Because geometry and physics had always appealed to my imagination, Escher’s art captivated me. Also during this time, musical artist Lauryn Hill released her first solo album. She is an artist who truly understands the power of art. I decided this is the kind of artist that I want to be: an artist that creates with purpose. In Fall 2007 I studied studio art with emphasis in drawing in Florence, Italy.
